April Giveaway Changes

This month, in a previous post, I had stated that I'd be doing something different with the giveaway.

I was supposed to post a question each day. Those who got it right would be entered into the drawing for the giveaway.

Since my computer is giving me some problems (as in I can't start it), I've decided to skip this method for the giveaway, and return to the normal giveaway procedure.

If you 'd like the chance to win these three books, fill out the form on the giveaway page to enter.

Titanic Giveaway Question, Day 1

Here's today's Titanic Giveaway Question, Day One

This one is hardest one, so they'll get easier from here on out.

In 1898, an author wrote a novel about "a fabulous Atlantic liner, far larger than any that had ever been built. ... [he] loaded his ship with rich and complacent people and then wrecked it one cold April night on an iceberg."

In order to have your name go into the drawing, tell me the name of the novel or the ship used in this novel.

The answer will be posted tomorrow along with a list of those whose names are going into the drawing.

April Giveaway!

April 15th marks a historic day in history. This year will be the 100th memorial of the Titanic. I've always been interested in the Titanic, so for this month's giveaway I'm offering a lucky winner the following books:

Under the Silvery Moon by Tricia Goyer

Promise Me This by Cathy Gohlke

Hearts that Survive by Yvonne Lehman

How This Giveaway Will Work

Because I've studied the Titanic for a long time, I've decided to post a trivia question every day. Each person who answers the question correctly will have their name put in the drawing for this Titanic Giveaway.

Each day I'll announce the correct answer, then proceed with the new question.

Each person is allowed to answer as many questions as they want. So, that means you could have multiple entries!

The giveaway will run from April 4th-25th

The March Giveaway

Love's Sacred Song
by
Mesu Andrews

Wisdom came as God's gift, but sacred love was forged through passion's fire

Standing in the shadow of his famous father, young King Solomon wavers between fear and bravado, longing for a love that is true and pure--a love that can be his cornerstone.

A shepherdess in the northern city of Shunem, Arielah has known since she first laid eyes on Solomon that it was her destiny to become his bride. When her father secures a promise from Solomon to marry Arielah as a treaty bride to help unite the kingdom, it seems her dreams will come true.

But how can this simple shepherdess live as part of Solomon's harem? Can Solomon set aside his distractions to give himself completely to just one woman? Or will he let duty, deception, and the daily routine divide his heart?

Mesu Andrews expertly weaves the words of the Song of Solomon into this touching story of the power of love from a master storyteller.

Deadline to enter is March 25th

Addison Blakely: Confessions of a PK by Betsy St. Amant

Praying for Your Future Husband by Robin Jones Gunn and Tricia Goyer

Have you ever thought about praying for your future husband?
Will it make a difference?
There's only one way to find out…

From when we were small girls, most of us dream of “The One,” our future husband. We think about what it would be like to be a bride. We wonder who that special guy is and when we'll find him. The great news is that what you do now can make a difference in your life and the life of your future husband!

Authors and good friends Robin Jones Gunn (Christy Miller series) and Tricia Goyer (author and former teen mom) believe God answers women's prayers for husbands—even husbands they may not meet for years. They invite young women to pray boldly for their future mate … while also asking God to prepare their own hearts.

Chasing Mona Lisa by Tricia Goyer and Mike Yorkey

One enigmatic smile. Two passionate protectors. And a relentlessly ticking clock.

August 1944. Paris is on the cusp of liberation. As the soldiers of the Third Reich flee the Allied advance, they ravage the country and steal countless pieces of irreplaceable art. In fact, Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring will stop at nothing to claim the most valuable one of all—the Mona Lisa—as a postwar bargaining chip.

But the woman with the mysterious smile has some very determined protectors. Can Swiss OSS agents Gabi Mueller and Eric Hofstadler rescue Leonardo da Vinci's masterpiece before it falls into German hands?

December Giveaway

The Merchant's Daughter
by
Melanie Dickerson

An unthinkable danger.

An unexpected choice.

Annabel, once the daughter of a wealthy merchant, is trapped in indentured servitude to Lord Ranulf, a recluse who is rumored to be both terrifying and beastly. Her circumstances are made even worse by the proximity of Lord Ranulf’s bailiff—a revolting man who has made unwelcome advances on Annabel in the past. Believing that life in a nunnery is the best way to escape the escalation of the bailiff’s vile behavior and to preserve the faith that sustains her, Annabel is surprised to discover a sense of security and joy in her encounters with Lord Ranulf. As Annabel struggles to confront her feelings, she is involved in a situation that could place Ranulf in grave danger. Ranulf’s future, and possibly his heart, may rest in her hands, and Annabel must decide whether to follow the plans she has cherished or the calling God has placed on her heart.

November Giveaway

A Lasting Impression by Tamera Alexander

Claire Laurent's greatest aspiration is to paint something that will bring her acclaim. Yet her father insists she work as a copyist. A forger. When she's forced to flee from New Orleans to Nashville only a year after the War Between the States has ended, her path collides with attorney Sutton Monroe. She considers him a godsend for not turning her in to the authorities. But after he later refuses to come to her aid, Claire fears she's sorely misjudged the man. Finding herself among the elite of Nashville's society, Claire believes her dream to create a lasting impression in the world of art is within reach--but only if her fraudulent past remains hidden.

The Federal Army has destroyed Sutton's home and confiscated his land, and threatens to destroy his family's honor. His determination to reclaim what belongs to him and to right a grievous wrong reveals a truth that may cost him more than he ever imagined--as well as the woman he loves.

Set at Nashville's historic Belmont Mansion, a stunning antebellum manor built by Mrs. Adelicia Acklen, A Lasting Impression is a sweeping love story about a nation mending after war, the redemption of those wounded, and the courage of a man and woman to see themselves--and each other--for who they really are.

Deadline to enter is November 20th
